We had the privilege of being apart of Lori & Paul’s wedding at the Newhall Mansion in Piru, Ca. And that wedding was fortunate enough to be published in The Knot! Thanks to William Innes Photography for capturing all the gorgeous DIY detailed shots of the couples beautiful, rustic wedding, that bride Lori and members of the family had created. We loved how Your Image Floral Design was able to incorporate use of wild flowers, plants and baby’s breath to create that rustic look with all the elegance of the wedding charm!
Food for the reception was provided by Dickies BBQ. Guest not only could enjoy a yummy dessert bar, but cake from Jakes Tex Mex. The bride and groom dance all night with their guest from entertainment provided by Oh Watta Night. And a special thanks to the other vendors 24/7 Events, Rock Star Taxi & Limo, Greenacres Catering, and Gold Star Staffing, also apart of Lori & Paul’s wedding, whom with out them it could not have been possible for us to pull this amazing wedding off!
What a wonderful wedding we were lucky enough to be apart of, and then have it published in The Knot!
Charmaine and Robert’s wedding took place on April 25, 2015 in the mountains of Santa Susana, Ca. at Hummingbird Nest Ranch. They choose to get married at the Main Villa with the beautiful Spanish architecture creating the beautiful back drop for their romantic wedding. The couple did their ceremony in the courtyard with the canyon as the backdrop for their vows between one another. Then guest got to explore the property a bit during cocktail hour, and then reception took place in front of the property with the beautiful double-side stairway framing the reception space. Guest at their wedding got to enjoy stunning views of the canyons, a personal, intimate-feel ceremony, great food, dancing the night away, and to see the love shared between this sweet couple! Thank you to all the vendors, Oh Watta Night Entertainment, Michael’s Flowers, Command Performance, who help make this day perfect for Charmaine & Robert. And special thanks to William Innes Photography for capture these stunning photos & sharing them with us! We can’t wait for the next wedding at Hummingbird!
Thinking back to last month we were able to be apart of a beautiful wedding out in Santa Barbara at Villa Verano. Villa Verano is a Mediterranean Villa that sits on 13 acres of plush green landscape with incredible view of the Pacific Ocean, and the Channel Islands. The cermony was on the back patio over looking the mountains, giving guest stunning views to take in as the couple shared their vows to one another. Jessie and Jordan were creative with special little touches they used through out their wedding. They personalized the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception with hand-made signs through out, along with writing their escort board on an old window pane. The use of color was not only used in the gorgeous bouquets by Tangled Lotus, but by the bride’s choice to do ombre color-scheme dresses from greens to blues, adding the grey with the guys suits to accent the colors. Guest enjoyed home brewed beer the couple made specifically for their wedding. And their choice to do pie, from Marcie’s Pies, instead of cake created a very homey feel that added to their overall personalized feel of their wedding! Jessie & Jordan also gave their guest a nice treat of having a band, Beta Play, for their wedding reception that everyone loved dancing to all night! What a great wedding Jessie & Jordan’s wedding was with breathe-taking views and personal touches from the couple to make it a special event their guest will remember for years to come!
Special Thanks to all our vendors that day as well! Without you we couldn’t have made it all possible! Pure Joy Catering, Katrina Jayne Photography, Chris Wooley, EOS Shuttles, and the couples friends Misty, Dan, Brandon & Chris.
One of the wedding we were apart of last Saturday was at the Elysian is Los Angeles, Ca. It is a private event venue that is a bar and a restaurant. We loved the intimate setting & the fact that the bride & groom could really make the venue unique to them without out having to bring a lot into the space. The rustic-chic, desert feel was inspired by White Fig Designs who complimented the look of the couples wedding design at the ceremony & reception space with the wedding party’s wildflower floral arrangements beautifully. As you can see capture in the photos by LMarie Photo posted here in our blog. Guest at Samantha & Robert’s wedding were not only able to enjoy the beautiful garden and views from the venue, but the also enjoyed the yummy food from Green Acres Catering, Komodo food truck, and for dessert Chunk N’ Chip! And SOS Entertainment keep the guest having fun & dancing all night long. This was truly a great wedding we were apart of, and we look forward to all of our weddings we have coming up this May!! Special thank to all the other vendors apart of Samantha & Robert’s special day, Veil of Grace, A-1 Event Rentals, VIP Tours, and 0816 Productions.
This 2015 biggest wedding trend seems to be bohemian-chic or rustic style for wedding decor and/or theme. Couples this year are big on creating a very personal, intimate feel through their ceremony & reception venues and themes. This year is all about creating a homey atmosphere at your wedding, as if you are bring your family and friends together at your home. And with Liz & Ari’s wedding on Saturday, May 2, 2015 they did just that! From the intimate Camp Seely venue to the beautifully arranged by the brides mother that looked as if the were just picked from a near by field…you can really see that rustic-chic element that is trending this season pop out in their wedding details. They captured that intimate feel for their wedding party and some guest by having a breakfast served that morning for them, then a hike for those who that wanted to be apart of that before the couples ceremony! The amphitheater style ceremony site really brought everyone together & the at the reception they used the long tables to keep the inmate feel with their guest. Catering for the reception was by Flatiron Kitchen. For dessert the couple had a beautifully 4-layer cake by Cake Goodness along with a S’mores Station…Yummy! and so much fun for their guest! And DJ Asis kept guest having a great time night long! A special thanks to LMarie Photo capturing all the rustic-chic, intimate details that were so key to making Liz & Ari’s wedding personal to them & trend-setting to this wedding season!
What a great venue Newhall Mansion is for most any bride. And with the Bridal Suite refinished and complete, you couldn’t ask for a better location to get ready with your wedding party party in the morning! The views, the space, and the lighting couldn’t be more perfect! Just as it was for Maria & her bridesmaids at her wedding on April 25th to her wonderful groom Brian. Michael Anthony Photography & Matrimony Films were there capturing every moment of the couples beautiful wedding. Enchanted Gardens did a great job at bringing just the right amount of elegance to the mansion with their floral arrangements. The ceremony was very sweet & personal. With their harpist, Rabbi & Priest. Food was provided by DJ’s California Catering & the gorgeous cake was by Jill’s Cake Creations. And guest had fun dancing the night away with SOS Entertainment and getting to take photos in the photo booth. Every wedding at the mansion is personal to each couple from where they hold their ceremony to where they host their cocktail hour. From plated dinner, buffet dinner to food truck dinner receptions. From very little entertainment to letting the couple and the mansion shine on their wedding day. To couples bringing in tons of entertainment & fun to really celebrate and party on their special day. Whatever bride you are. However you choose to celebrate your wedding day as a couple. The best advice we can give is make your wedding personal, unique & special to the two of you just as it was at Brian and Maria’s wedding!
We had the privilege of being apart of Brooke and Eric’s wedding that took place at Middle Ranch in Lake View Terrace. And the wedding was fortunate to be published in The Knot. Thanks to the Michael Anthony Photography for capture all the beautiful details and special moments of that beautiful day! The gorgeous pops of color from the floral arrangements of the brides bouquet, to the ceremony details, to the their centerpieces was done by Charmaine’s Bouquet Canyon Florist. Food for the reception was provided by Anoush Catering Company. The DJ from Hey Mister DJ kept the bride & groom and their guest having fun all night long! Guest were also able to enjoy the yummiest desserts by Cake Goodness at the couple’s dessert bar. What a great wedding! We were so lucky to be apart of Brooke & Eric’s special day!!
What a great month October has become for weddings! Last year Tricia Dahlgren Events was fortunate to get the opportunity to coordinate a wedding up at Roblar Winery in Santa Yenz, California. It was a gorgeous day for Taylor & Brady’s wedding, and the lighting was so beautiful coming through the big oak tree as the couple were saying their vows. Capturing all the beauty in the amazing moments was Lisa Marie. Cocktail hour had great wines served from the vineyard & beer from a near by brewing company, Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company. Taylor & Brady’s reception was so much fun! Family & friends dance the night away to a great band, The Class, and guest also enjoyed the Slow Mo Video Booth. (which I though was a great new take on photo booths! and everyone young & old were having a great time watching the videos they had just made!) The flowers by Anna Le Pley Taylor were so beautiful and brought the entire look for the ceremony & reception together wonderfully.
The staff at Roblar was very accommodating, kind & helpful! And Chef Laurence created such stunning dishes, that were very tasty. This venue is so beautiful! And is a great venue for a romantic, country, chic style wedding.
We were so lucky to be apart of such a special day, at such a beautiful venue, with such a fun, sweet couple!!
